Catheter-based imaging to detect blockages in the coronary arteries.
A thin catheter is guided from the wrist or groin up to the coronary arteries, and a special X-ray contrast dye reveals the exact location and severity of any blockages.
Recommended when a TMT or other test shows a concerning result, or for patients with significant chest pain.
The procedure typically takes 30–45 minutes, and most patients go home the same day or after one night of observation.
Note: treatment outcomes vary by individual. Please consult a physician for advice specific to your situation.
