Minimally invasive procedure to widen narrowed arteries and restore blood flow.
A small balloon is inflated inside the narrowed artery to widen it, and in most cases a small mesh tube (stent) is placed to keep it open permanently.
Recommended for patients found to have significant blockage in one or more arteries during angiography.
The procedure usually takes 45–90 minutes. Most patients resume light activity within 1–2 days.
Note: treatment outcomes vary by individual. Please consult a physician for advice specific to your situation.
